Here's Nick's letter from today. He cracks me up when he tells us that he's "going to start cooking"....... then check out the recipes he asks for! Yes I would say he is feeling the need to feed his sweet tooth!! We had a great talk with him yesterday and he sends his love to all of you. Thanks for your constant support. xoxo - Carolann

Wow yesterday was so much fun! I loved every minute of it! Man the time sure does pass by! An hour just isn't enough, but at the same time, it's perfect!! It was so good to talk to you all yesterday! Happy mother's day again to the best mom there is! Hope you had an awesome day! I was having a bit of difficulties with the english! haha. I kept wanting to say the small words in portuguese! The member here was making fun of me saying I needed to speak english! haha but what a fun time!
Shouts out to Chris cassity this next Sunday! Hope you have an awesome birthday!
This week was a good one. My comp got really sick this week so we stayed home one day, which is always a bummer! We still managed to teach a couple people but not a ton. This week was a little hectic because everyone was traveling because of mother's day so we didn't have a ton of investigators at church today but we had a few! We've been teaching this man named Alex this week and he's way awesome. We're trying to help him and his wife mark a date this week for marriage so we will see how that goes. He was at church and liked it a lot! Also that couple that I told you about that went to church this last week, Ricardo and Aline! They loved church last week! We visited Ricardo one night with the bishop and he went on and on about everything he loved about the church! One thing I found way cool that he said he loved was how we use the title "heavenly father" when we prayer and not just God. He said it changed the way he prays which was way cool! He said that the week was so much better to the point that someone at work asked him why he was so happy and he said because he went to our church and found what he needed! It was a super awesome lesson and it showed me how important the church is and what it can do in our lives! Just once a week going to church will change our week for the better! He's super awesome so we are still working with them waiting for his birth certificate to arrive!!
As I said yesterday, I've made the new goal to cook more in the house! We really only have time on p-day but every p-day I'll cook something! But you need to some me some recipes! I don't know if they have everything to make these things down here but I'll give it a try! As of now I was thinking I need the recipes for:
Cinnamon rolls!
rice pudding!
butter milk syrup
banana bread
homemade oreos
chocolate chip cookies
Thats about all I've got as of now, haha! Definitely stuff ive been craving for sure! I for sure miss mom's cooking!!
Well that's about all I've got this week! This week I was studying a lot about Christ and about 1 nephi 14. I was thinking about how people reject and deny our church, at times, and say so many false things about it. With Ricardo, he had heard a lot of stuff that is simply ridiculous about the church. Rumors and what not. I wonder how people can say such bad things about a church that only does good? That only helps the family and brings happiness into our lives? There's a part in Jesus the Christ that talks somewhat about this as well. It talks about how Jesus was healing the sick and blind and doing miracles but some people looked upon him and said he was acting with the help of the devil. Even Christ, who only did good, was said to be doing evil because of the help he was providing. And his church on this earth only does good but still people will mock it! I want you all to know that I am proud to be a member of this church! I know it is true and will never deny it! I know that we have to defend our beliefs. The church morals will never change because our Heavenly Father will never change! He knows just what we need in order to receive eternal happiness! I love you all and have a great week!!!
