Polly's Baptism! (w/pics)

Hello to all!!

So this week really was a good week for sure! Mainly because Polly got baptized!!! Oh man i was so happy! It was such an awesome day! After so much work, and so many lessons and prayers, she entered the water of baptism and she was as happy as ever! It is so awesome to see the changes in these people over the weeks that we teach them! It was so great to see everyone there as a family! Meire was happy as ever too, and still determined to complete her family! Her son that was shot is recovering and returned home on Tuesday. He still has the bullet in his neck though!! He will have it taken out this Tuesday. Meire told us that it was an awakening for him for sure. He told her that when his daughter turns 8 she will be baptized in the church for sure! His daughter is super funny and goes to church with Meire almost every Sunday, even though she lives pretty far away! So that was pretty cool to see the change that he is already wanting to make and Meire is determined to see him baptized as well! His wife was already baptized a long time ago but hasn't attended church, but has expressed interest as well in returning with Meire to church. It’s amazing to see how God works and how the craziest of things produce such miracles.

When we first started teaching Polly, she didn’t talk at all, but last night when we visited them, she wouldn’t stop! While we were there their neighbors came over so we introduced ourselfves and then Polly started talking to this mom and her daughter all about the church and the Book of Mormon and the changes in her life and the life of her kids! It was so cool to see and hear her testimony of the Book of Mormon! She said that here in 2 days she will have read it all! So we will start teaching this mom and daughter tonight so we will see where they go!

We had an older lady come to church today who is super funny! She is a little deaf so we have to speak super loud for her to understand! It’s hard not to laugh watching my companion do it! But she liked church a lot so we will visit her again tonight and help her progress!

This week we did a service project with the lady where we built a book shelf and then arranged all of her books! She had so many books about the church it was crazy! So many books that I didn’t even know existed! And she has like every Liahona that has ever been printed here in Brazil so it was way cool to see some old church stuff and know that this church is sooo true!!! She wanted mom to accept her on facebook for me so that she could post some photos! H’er name's Luzia.

This week the water in our neighborhood was cut 2 times for more than a day! Man is it hard to live without water! Can’t do anything without water! I felt a little like C-bear going a few days without a shower! haha Now I know why you like it so much C-bear! haha

But other than that, it was a great week! Sorry I don’t have a ton of time to write but I’m happy as ever and know that this church is soo true!! I don’t have a doubt in my mind that this church isn’t the true church and that Jesus Christ leads it still!

Love you all
