Oi!! (First Letter From Brazil!)

What is up family! It feels like forever ago since I talked to you. It's nuts! I'll start off by wishing C-Bear, Uncle Lee, and Collier all a Happy Birthday this past Saturday! Sure hope you all had a great day and everything is going great!

So things here are going way well! My companion is Elder Assis and he's 22, almost 23, and he's an awesome missionary! Super funny and works really hard so I will learn alot from him for sure! We're also in the same apartment with two other elders, Elder Rasmussen and Lund. Elder Lund came down with me. Rasmussen and Assis are the zone leaders, so we work the same area, which is awesome because we get a ton of investigators and referrals and stuff! The work has been going great! President Pinho told us that most likely in 12 weeks we will be training because he doesn't have missionaries to do the training and we'll be getting a ton of missionaries soon! Crazy to think training 3 months into my mission! That is nuts! Our area is called Clamentio and it's total favela (slums)! Super dope! There are so many people here and houses built on top of houses. It's way cool!

The language is coming alright. I don't understand like anything and they talk so fast! I just sit there and smile and act like I know what they are saying!!  I've been teaching pretty well though. We teach baptism like every day and on the first day I challenged a guy to baptism and he said yes! way cool! He's such a legit guy! And then yesterday after church we taught this guy from Africa who speaks english so that was nice to teach in english, too.  He accepted baptism as well, but has a lot of work ahead of him. He has so much faith though, its awesome! We teach a ton down here and there are so many people who are prepared to hear our message. It is way cool! Brazilians have so much faith! The city of Sao Paulo is huge! Houses for as far as you can see! No one can pronouce my name until they connect it with Sherlock Holmes. Then it's way funny, they are like 'ahh sherlock holmes! elder Sherlock!' haha

We had fast Sunday yesterday and I bore my testimony which was way good. The ward down here is awesome and everyone is so excited and actually help a ton with the missionary work! The youth especially! The food is super good here. So far haven't eatan anything I don't like yet! Elder Rasmussen said he has never eaten anything he didn't like and that the food is really good so that's a bonus! Unfortunately we're not allowed to play soccer, which is a bummer! The First Presidency said too many missionaries were getting hurt, so no more. Bummer cuz there is soccer everywhere down here. It is sick! Lee would be in heaven!

Sounds like everything is going awesome back home and that you are as busy as ever! I miss you all a ton but couldn't be happier that I'm serving our Savior! This church is so true and I love sharing it with the people here in Brasil!

I love you all so much and love hearing from all of you!
