Lots going on!

Hey hey! 

Wow looks like life is going good back in the states! Mom and Dad just chilling in Hawaii like it's no big deal! haha!  Way jealous but hope you're having a great time! You both definitely deserve it! Doing any scuba diving or just snorkeling? And what's up with mom breaking her finger?? How did you do that!? Have an awesome week and I look forward to pics next week! 

So this week was pretty good! We worked really hard and had 4 investigators at the church on Sunday, which was good.  We have been working a lot with the man, Divino, who has all the daughters. I don't exactly know what happened to the wife, but he has 5 daughters and 6 grand daughters! All girls! Funny. Unfortunately he didn't come to church yesterday which made me sad! He is working so hard to quit smoking. He certainly has a huge desire. The daughter Renata did come though, the one we initially contacted in the streets. She is so awesome and definitely elect. She wants to be baptized but is not married to her spouse. Pray for her for sure. She is awesome! 

Our most recent convert, Thiago, is doing awesome and has expressed interest in serving a mission, which is way cool! The other day I was on splits with another elder who was baptized when he was 19, just like Thiago.  It was so great to have him share his experience with Thiago, and for him to tell Thiago how he prepared for a mission.

We had an activity with the whole ward on Saturday which was great.  Hopefully we got them excited to invite their friends to church! We were going to play some games and one was the pig-mating game! I was pretty pumped but we ran out of time, so the pig-mating will have to wait until the next activity! We will for sure play it.  Maybe at a family home evening or something! 

Yesterday we had another meeting with the youth and tried to get them excited to participate in sharing the gospel! We have a point system set up for every goal and the winner will get a prize! I think that it is already working pretty well. We have set up a lot appointments where they can come along with us and tonight we have two "companionships" that want to make divisions with us! So tonight we will have 4 groups teaching in our area! Should be awesome and we're always looking for new investigators!

The Mexico trip sounds like it should be fun! Are you really letting Andrew tag along?? haha.  How long are you going to be down there? I was way bummed I couldn't go but i hope you all have a great time! 

Good luck to Lee in the playoffs this week! You will have people cheering for you down here in Brazil for sure!! Kill it and make us proud!
