From: Nicholas Holmes <nicholas.holmes@myldsmail.net>

Wow sounds like it was such a crazy week with everyone there!

First off shouts out to Lee for making it in to BYU!!  Thata boiiiiii!!!!!!  If i may add that I always had the faith!. There is no way that they would turn away such a stud!!! And congrats on the triple overtime "ship" win!  Following in my footsteps huh? I don't think Andrew or Scott ever made it that far! haha Congrats to scott on all the good stuff going on there in Provo! Andrew and Rachel for moving back to Colorado! Shouts out to mom for being sworn in by the judge! Man that is so sweet! Our mom is such a beast!  Congrats to you mom! Shouts out to dad for being set apart as a high priest and the new calling! And along with that to grandad who made the trek to set him apart!  The man who started it all continues to serve!  Shouts out to him as well! Shouts out to jimmer for being traded to my second favortite team behind the nugs!  Tell d rose that the truest baller who is currently in brazil says `whats up derik!``  haha stoked for him for sure!  Shouts out to christian for the healing face!  You're working it!  I think that's everyone! Congrats to everyone on an awesome week!! more shouts out than I have given in my life!

Some things that did make me very disappointed from reading your e-mails were first off about the nugs!  Man what a bummer that they are having such a rough year. What pains me even more is the fact that it seems everyone is jumping off the band wagon!  The truest fan leaves for a couple of months and look what's happening! Thinking about not buying tickets next year!?!?  Oh man, a knife to the chest of Elder Holmes. I'll teach you a lesson about perserving until the end when I get back! We teach it alot as missionaries, some of you may remember!  You have to stick with them through the thick and thin!  Oh my gosh we have work to do!

This week was a good one. It has been blasting hot and if I forget to put on sunscreen I return to the house like a tomato! But things have been going super well! Ricardo was at church again yesterday which was awesome! He was also super sick throughout the week so a reason not to go to church, but he was there, which was awesome! We have also been helping this guy come back to church who has serious problems with smoking!  His name's Hebert and he's a boss. He speaks english too and he likes talking to me in english a lot! He was at church as well yesterday but is having a super hard time with smoking. But he will stop for sure! We also had a lady come to church that has 4 kids. None of the kids went. I don't know why but she liked it alot. We are going to help out that family for sure!

Other than that not too much stuff happened this week. It was a pretty normal week of a lot of work! I was reading in the Ensign the conference talks and read that talk about the guy in Africa that wasn't allowed to enter the church because of the laws of the government. So instead he sat outside for years next to the church window so that he could participate and hear the church meetings. Not only him but all his family and friends! The faith this man had to go to church like this for years is amazing! What a blessing we have always had to be members of this church and to have a temple so close! Always remember not to take for granted the blessings that we have all been givin to be a member of Christ's church!  To have all the answers to life's questions. This week i made a contact with this guy who was strong in another church. We asked him what he searches for when he goes to church. He said he searches for salvation mainly and the word of God. The thought crossed my mind that in our church we don't have to search for salvation. We already know what we have to do in order to return to our Heavenly Father's presence. Never take for granted the gift we have and never be scared to share it! Love you all and I hope everyone has another great week like the last!!
