Feliz Páscoa everyone!!
I hope everyone had a great Easter yesterday and took time to remember what the Savior has done for us. We should take time everyday to think about it, but especially on Easter! If you did not, you still have time today and every day, to think about the sacrifices He made and how it can help you in your life! We had a good Easter here for sure! I got the package from mom of, course, and already ate all the cookies so thanks a ton for that mom!! It's sad to see how some people celebrate Easter here with parties and a bunch of music in the streets. It's sad but gives me more motivation to show them the true happiness!
This week was a good one for sure. On Thursday night we had a ward activity that we planned which turned out way good. The ward hasn't had an activity to integrate the new members and investigators like this in 3 years, so they were in need and I think they really liked it! We planned a dessert night where everyone was invited to make a dessert and then there would be a competition with judges and everything! We had a way good turnout for the first time and the little time we had to plan it! We are planning on doing at least one every month if not more! I think everyone liked it. It was a fun night. Joel went and liked it alot and we got his sister Joelma to come as well and she had a great time too! So we are helping her as well which will be good! They are twins which is awesome! We shared an Easter message with them and focused a lot on the happiness that we can receive because of what Christ has done for us. What we can do with our lives! We showed a video which I love which I'm not sure if I've told you about but it's the one with the train and the father and son! It's so powerfull and puts in perspective as well the feelings that our Heavenly Father felt too. What he had to go through as well to see his son suffer for us. But at the end, it has such a feeling of the hope and happiness that the sacrifice brings! If you haven't watched it, you must! It's way powerfull! Everyone liked it a lot and we had a lot of comments about it. Joelma said she started to cry and that she thought it was awesome!
We didn't get a new ward mission leader this week which is a bummer but more ward missionaries were called. Cicero and Cicera who are a couple that was baptized in December were called and they are great! I think I told you we had a family night with them that went way well! They should help us out alot and this calling will give them more opportunities to grow and serve! They like us a lot. She bought me a hammock which is sweet! haha
I heard that Christian's doing well in the tennis tournament. Keep it up big guy! Congrats to Andrew on the graduation! Have a good week there in P-town!
Other than that things are still going way well here in Brazil! I hope you all have an awesome week!!
Love
Elder Holmes
