Thanks so much......Carolann

What is up family!!!

Happy birthday to Nick Chilton this week!! Hope you have a great day buddy! Know that I'll be thinking of you! Happy birthday to me as well!! Dang. 21!  I'm so old! I hope you all drink some root beer in my honor now that I'm legal! haha! Thank you to everyone who wrote me this week! It was way awesome to hear from all of you! It took a lot of my time to read them all but I enjoyed every single minute of it!  As for my birthday package, yes I did get it after a painful hit to my wallet! Apparently here in Brazil they randomly take your package sometimes and put a tax on it that you have to pay or you can't get your package. Just another effective way they have created to steal people's money here in Brazil! ha!  So this last week I had to go to the post office and use that $100 that mom gave me to get my package! I was pretty mad but excited when I opened the package and found all the goodies! Thanks so much for everything!  I enjoyed it all a ton. The shoes are awesome. Super comfy!  So thanks a ton!!

I don't have a ton of time to write this week but I will tell you that this week was a good one! We had the meeting with our entire mission on Thursday and it was way good! We watched that film that you guys said you watched which was way cool to watch! Fun to see some of the missionaries as well who have gone home already. Two more sisters from my district in the mtc got here 2 weeks ago as well, so it was fun to see them!  I can't believe they are just getting here now!  Even harder to believe that there are still 2 from our MTC district who are still stateside waiting for visas!  Sure glad I got my visa when I did. What a blessing!

This weekend we had stake conference and President Costa of the presidency of brazil presided and it was suppper good. What I liked most about it was how on Saturday night he talked a lot about missionry work. He talked a lot about how the members of the church don't share the gospel because they have a fear of opening their mouths. He told a lot of stories about how simply opening your mouth and telling someone about the church will bless them in ways we can't imagine. During the meeting he called up our two assistants and the Stake President and sent them out to the road to invite people to church the next day, just to show the members how easy it is to invite people to church!  It was a super good weekend of talks and feeling the spirit!

Other than that, the week was pretty normal! Transfers are tomorrow but I'm thinking that I will stay. They are still finalizing transfers so they haven't called us yet, but I'm hoping i stay put! As for my birthday, I don't have too big of plans! We will have a zone meeting that day and then I'll probably go eat Burger King afterwards with my comp (I got my comp addicted!) and then it will be a good day of inviting people to church. The best gift that everyone back home could give me would be to just go to church! Everyone go to church, and if you're already a member of this church, then bring a friend. I can't begin to express how true this church is, along with the message of Christ that we have. Here in Brazil we see a lot of churches and all the churchs are way different than those back there in the states. But our church, the Savior's church, is the same no matter where you go. The language is different, but the gospel is the same. I know with all my heart that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ and I'm honored to represent it everyday!!

Sorry I don't have more time to write but please know that everything is good here in Brazil! I love you all!
