Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year (with pics!)

Merry Christmas to Everyone from our District!

Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus...... And Tony's Baptism!

Whats up family!! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!! It was so good to talk to all of you! Glad to see that nothing has changed there, seeing as the internet is still the worst! haha but I loved talking to you all. I really do have the best family in the world!!

I can’t believe you got a new dog! And it looks as if she has stolen all of your attention. I’m sure Cosmo is not very happy about that! Have you given her a name yet? I was thinking Chloe would be pretty dope!

So Christmas was pretty sweet. A super fun day! We went to a different area where there is a big square and we sang Christmas songs. Well, actually, everyone else sang, while I talked to people in the road wishing everyone a merry christmas and passing out pass along cards! It was way fun for sure and a good way to start out the day. We then went to lunch and then after that, to do the skype! The sisters were planning on using a member’s web cam but it broke last minute so they used it at Douglas´s house with us. We were there until about 7 or so and then after we just went home and read the scriptures to end out the day! It was a good christmas for sure! We helped out a family as well, a recent convert with 3 kids whose husband left her about a month ago. She has been having a ton of problems so we helped her out and bought her some goods and her kids a few gifts! It’s always a reward to help others!

So this week on Saturday we had Tony’s baptism which was super awesome! He actually doesn’t live in our area but his family will move to our ward in February so the bishop told us we could baptize him! He is super awesome. He came to church with a friend about 2 months ago and has been coming ever since and likes it alot! It was amazing because he told us when he was first invited to come to church with a friend, he wasn’t super interested, but his friend kept inviting and sending him a bunch of videos to watch about the church, until he got curious. So he went and now he’s a member! You never know what your words and example can do for others! He’s 23 and as well, has showed interest in serving a mission, which is super awesome! He is a stud! So saturday was good for me as well here in Brazil! Man I can’t believe that Scott got married! It’s so crazy! It’s almost as if it’s unreal! But congrats to both of you! I hope you had an awesome day and are enjoying your honey moon! I love you both a ton! Just  make sure to get that cardboard cutout to the Cannon Center to hook me up with a lot of references for when i get back! Anyway, it looks as if i will be coming home on the 17th of June instead of the 30th.  Maybe with this date I won't miss lee! It does mean that my window of being with Lee before he leaves just got a little bigger!

Well that’s about all I’ve got! I loved talking to you guys this last week! We have the best family ever! I love you all and happy new year!!!!!

love,

Elder Holmes
