Como está!! Happy birthday to Sean to start it off! Happy birthday Seaners! Hope you have a great day!
Things here in embu are going great! I'll start off by answering some of your questions! I'm liking being a District leader alot! It has been way sweet. I've already learned a ton through the different meetings and experiences and what not! My district is super small, just me and my companion and Elder ely and Elder c. santos! So everyone that lives in my house is in my district! It's pretty sweet! So we do a division once a week which is always a good learning experience! President told us the other day that the days of only having 2 missionaries in an area are over (at least in our mission) and that every ward will at least have 4 maybe 6 missionaries. It's crazy. We have been receiving a ton of new missionaries so our mission has grown in size quite a bit! So pretty much in every house there are 4 missionaries, which is way sweet. I like it alot! Elder Miranda doesn't speak any english, only portuguese! And he speaks super slured so sometimes it's hard to even hear when he's talking! haha! Not going to lie. It has been way hard adapting to this new area! Especially since the area that we mainly work in has very few members. The other area of this ward has more members! Makes the work a little harder! This week I worked my butt of teaching people and trying to find people home and what not and no one went to church yesterday! We found a family that the neighbor was going to pass by there and go to church with them but then she missed church for some reason so they didn't go either. I was pretty frustrated with that as well! We have had to cut a lot of people the last few days just because they are showing no desire so our teaching pool dropped again. The entire zone has been struggling because practically everyone is opening areas and what not! But this week will be crazy! I want to find all the members or less active members in our ward and just ask for a crazy amount of references! Things are going to get nuts up in here! The works going good though. I like our bishop. He's pretty sweet! The ward mission leader is good too.
We had a multi zone conference this week which was way good! I learned a ton of stuff that I can apply to my mission and to my area! I hit my 6 month mark this week which is crazy!! Wow can't believe it has already been 6 months! So I had to buy a pizza with the personal card dad. I hope you understand! haha! Time really is passing by though. It's way crazy but I'm loving it!
This week we had a day that was so hard because literally no one was home that day and we had to go to this area called Jardim Silvia! To get there you have to walk up this giant mountain of a road and it takes forever and then when you finally get there, you are exhausted! What's even worse is that like no one is ever in the streets there so there is no one to talk to, only little kids every once in a while. And every one fell through during those few hours! It was super frustrating and I was a bit bugged! As we were going back, there was this group of little punks there in the road making fun of us and what not, thinking they were so funny. At this point I was super frustrated, but the coolest thing happened. I thought of what the Savior felt like when he was being mocked and carrying the cross. How hard it would have been for him to hear all those things said and not say anything at all.....just bear it! My testimony of the atonement and of Christ have been growing so much. It has been awesome! I hope that everyone can think of Christ when the times get rough and really know that he knows how you feel! In that moment, I knew that Christ had felt what I was feeling. After that, the day really didn't get any better, but just that moment really made my week!!
I hope everyone has a great week and that every one is well!! love you all!
