Life in Ebmu!

From: Nicholas Holmes <nicholas.holmes@myldsmail.net>

Things here are so good! Way different but I can tell that I am going to like this area for sure! We walk a ton every day though! Way more than in the last area even! There's one area that we have to like climb this mountain to get to the top, but all is good cause the view at the top is incredible! Things are going well with my comp. He's a pretty cool kid. He just gets a little trunky sometimes but I'm working on getting rid of that! It's normal, though.  He only has a little bit of time in the mission! Things are definitely different though! I've been doing most of the work this week cause he is a little on the quiet side but all the more I have to help him out! He's an awesome guy though and has a strong testimony so we will for sure get along! As I said last week, he's from Africa. They actually speak portuguese there do so he already speaks perfect, just with a Portugal accent which I think is way sick!

So yes Elder ely is my zone leader here which is way sweet! In Clementino we did a lot of divisions together so I worked  a lot with him. He's a boss! My african converts are all way good. They recieved the priesthood some time ago! Renata should be married next month so I hope everything works out well with that!

This week was pretty crazy! We did a lot of contacting and finding new people to teach and we have found a few good families which is sweet! We found a family that owns a pizzaria which is so awesome! We bought a pizza from them the other night and it was so good oh my gosh, and it's way cheep right now cause they just opened this month! Always a score to find a good pizzaria! They seem like a way sweet family!

i gave my first talk in church yesterday since arriving here! It was pretty awesome! I had an experience this week while I was on a division with the other zone leader C.Santos. He's way awesome as well. We were teaching this guy about prayer and he was feeling like he hadn't received an answer and we were helping him recognize how God can answer prayer. I bore my testimony and was feeling the spirit way strong and was speaking way clearer than I ever have before! It was an experience that really strengthened my testimony! Lately I have been looking for the small miracles in life that can help me become more converted to the gospel. President said the other day in our meeting of the district leaders that we don't have to baptize in order to find experiences that strengthen our conversion, but that every day we can find a miracle in our life that sometimes we overlook! Make sure to always look for that miracle everyday before you go to bed! I am sure that everyone can find one, if not more, every day! Hope everyone has a great week!! I love you all!

Love
Elder Holmes
