Man we had a perfect week this week. Everyone wrote! haha! It sounds like so many things happened this week, reading all the emails! Shouts out to Christian's ski pole doing work like none other! Sorry about that bro! I'll teach you how to do a 180 when I get back. Man the coach leaves the country for a couple months and no one can teach the kid! Don't worry C-bear. I'll be back in no time!
This week was way good, but yesterday, won't lie, was super frustrating! We found a ton of good people to teach and that are way sweet but only one went to church! Oh man it was hard cause they all said they would go, but it's all good. I still have faith in them! We have been teaching this lady Polama the last few days and she is way awesome. She has two kids and is super nice. I think she maybe had to work yesterday but we will see about her! Keep her in the prayers! We also found a family that they aren't married but they have a lot of desire to get married so we're going to help them there. I found them in the street and then had to make a division the next day so I don't know how many kids they have. I think they have two, but regardless, they are super awesome! All in all this week was good in the fact that we found some good people and families, only they didn't go to church! But next week for sure we will have better results!
We had a funny experience this week as well with this lady named Sandra. The day before, we had found a lady with the name Santa; no C-bear, not santa clause but close! Any way she seemed way interested and said she had already visited our church and liked it. The only problem was she didn't know the number of her house. She explained it the best she could and we told her we would look for it the next day but if we didn't find it, she would just have to go to church! Anyways the next day as we were looking, everyone we asked didn't know where she lived. And every time I asked, 'hey does Santa live here?' the response was the same....no sandra lives on the road below. No Santa, yah Sandra lives on the road below! Oh my gosh it was so annoying! After several people saying this and after not finding Santa I figured 'hey might as well visit this sandra that everyone is talking about!' So we went to the next road and turns out we found a Santa! Only not the same one haha! And her neighbor was Sandra who turns out to be a member! Her mom is Sandra as well, and never was baptized! Oh score! Finally! We talked to her and she said she has gone to church a ton of times and at one point for like 6 months straight, activities and all, but never felt ready to be baptized. She hasn't gone in a while to church but we're going to help her for sure be baptized! And on sunday she was at church so it was all in all a good contact!
We didn't have a ton of time to visit Ricardo a ton this week because when we passed by he wasn't home, but by the end of this next transfer, he will be going to church for sure! The other lady, Priscilla hasn't been home this week so we still need to talk with her!
Transfers are tomorrow and Elder Miranda got transferred. He was pretty bummed and I was sad to see him go! But tomorrow I will recieve my new comp! He's a noobster! haha. I was called to train a noobie so it should be a good experience!
Mom still no package, but I got a package from Claire that she had sent like 2 months ago, so there's still hope! And wow! Sounds like the volunteer thing that you are doing is going to be way awesome! You are going to rock it, I'm sure of that! Keep me updated on how it goes and everything! Those kids will be lucky to have you in their life.
Running out of time but I love you all! I love reading the updates of the fam. You guys are the best! The church is true and I continue to see why every day. Yesterday we found a lady that said her son had served a mission but then returned and left the church. I don't know how someone could serve the Lord for 2 years of their life and then leave! I was pretty sad for this kid for sure. Even more reason for each of us to become converted to the gospel more and more each day! Love you all and have a great week!
Elder Holmes
