There's Really Nothing Better!

OLA! 

Starting out the email, I’ll give a birthday shoutout to Amberlee this friday on the 19th! Hope you have a great day! 

So this week was a good one for sure, filled with a bunch of working and sweating in the hot sun! It got super hot here super fast! Last year about this time it was still pretty chilly but this week let me just tell you, the sweating was off the charts! And this area we have to walk a ton. The area that we work in is a good distance from the chapel and from our house so it’s been a lot of walking for sure! 

The new comp is going way well. We get along super well. He’s from the Amazon up north in the jungle which is pretty sweet! This is the first area in my mission that I only live with me and my companion. Every other area, I've lived with at least one other set of missionaries. Man it would be difficult just two in the house with a tough companion, knock on wood! haha 

The area has been going good for sure.We worked way hard this week and found some new people to teach. We had 4 people at church yesterday, which is a start! Unfortunately they all have to get married, which is so difficult!! One couple is just waiting for his divorce papers so that he can marry again. He’s returning to church and his wife is way cool and wants to be baptized too. We just have to get them married, but that will definitely take time. We found another young couple as well that went to church with us yesterday which was good. They have a few obstacles to overcome, but hey, they liked church a lot so we will see where they are headed! We got to know some members in our area as well so it was a good week for sure. This next one will be even better though! I will give a talk in church next Sunday about service, which should be fun! 

Yesterday this lady was at church from an area super far away. She said she just felt like she needed to go to church that day and set out to find one. Before going to our church she had already entered 3 others. There are so many churches here! But then she felt the impression to visit our church so she took a heck of a long journey to get to ours, even though there are at least 5 closer to where she lives!  But it was super sweet and she felt the spirit really strong. Her son was already baptized but is inactive. She wants the missionaries to help both him and her return to church!  So that was pretty cool! The faith that some people have is truly amazing. 

Other than that, not too much happened other than preaching the gospel! There’s really nothing better than sharing the gospel with God’s children! I am so blessed to be able to do it everyday!!  I love you all hope you all have a great week!!
